HOW TO PLAY
Choose to guess the percent change or the later price in dollars. Dollar guesses are converted automatically for scoring. For a percentage guess, compare the earlier date to the later date. Enter a positive number for a rise, a negative number for a fall, or 0 for no change.
One guess per product. Switch between rounds whenever you like. The first three rounds are worth up to 1,000 points each. Round four asks for a dollar-price prediction one year ahead, with no points; compare it with today’s players.
Get a flat bonus for guessing the right direction, then earn more points for closeness. Harder rounds have bigger direction bonuses and more forgiving scoring. After each guess, discover the prices and the story behind them.
The scored answer is the nominal price change. Inflation-adjusted comparisons appear after your guess. No account needed.
